COUNTING THE COST2 min read

No pain, No gain. No price, No prize.

You have a purpose to fulfill in this life. However, to be all that you were meant to be in this life, you must count the cost. There is always a price to be paid to receive the prize and you must be willing to pay it.

A lot of people dabble into many things and often fail to complete and accomplish their desired goals because they did not count the cost at the beginning. Jesus admonishes us in the passage below to always count the cost before embarking on any project.

For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it– lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’  Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand?
Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace. (Luke 14:28 -32)

Counting the cost simply indicates that one should consider the consequences of one’s intended action or event.

Your life is a project, have you counted the cost of what it will take to succeed as a Christian in these perilous times?

Have you counted the cost of what it will take to succeed in your chosen endeavor?

Do you know the price you need to pay? Are you willing to pay that price?

There is a glorious destiny that God has for you as His child and representative on this planet earth. You are not here by accident. Discover your purpose in God, count the cost, pay the price, and receive the prize of a glorious destiny.
